As some of you know, on the 9th March I started a 90 day detox challenge. It went well to begin with and then I fell off the wagon, was back on the wagon and back off again! I found it really hard to commit too. I think setting myself up for such a long stint was not conducive to motivation, especially during a pandemic!
So, today I have made the decision to stop the 90 day detox! But, have decided to commit to another 30 days to healthy living plan, starting Monday. I have achieved great results with the 30 days plan twice before, I can surely do it again! I am also going to have an accountability buddy who is doing it too, so that will help us both stay focused and dedicated to it. It reminds that when setting goals they need to be SMART (Specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely). I now have clear goals in sight and goals that are meaningful to me, that I am determined to accomplish.
When setting goals it is important to have a clear ‘why’, otherwise it is easy to get sidetracked and lose focus. If you can hold on to your reasons why and they are strong reasons why, then you will overcome obstacles. If self-doubt enters in, you can draw on your ‘why’ to talk yourself back round to the positives of what you are doing and why you are putting in this effort. As well as setting myself far too long a timeframe (90 days), I lost sight of my ‘why’ because of the fear I was feeling about what was going on in the world with COVID19. Self-doubt certainly took hold of me and I lost motivation. Now that I have broken my goals down in to smaller sizeable chunks again (30 days), it feels realistic and achievable, I have brought life back to my ‘why’ and I feel like I can reach this vision that I have for myself.
This plan is not a fad diet, it is not about calorie counting. It is a whole foods, nutritionally dense plan. I am excited to reap the benefits of it again, I benefitted so much before. Not only did I lose excess fat, the plan improved my clarity, energy levels, my focus, my skin, my gut health, reduced inflammation in my body and relieved me of joint pains. I am still benefiting from the time I did it before with all of these things, but get to boost this even further by doing this again.
I am excited to embark on this journey on Monday and look forward to sharing it with you. If you would like to join me, please feel free to get in contact.
