Why vegan?

The main reason people decide to go vegan is for better health, to protect the environment and to protect animals.

Vegans get all the nutrients they need from plant based foods, including nuts, seeds, grains, lentils, beans, pulses, vegetables, salads, fruits and much more.

Research has linked vegan diets to lower cholesterol, less rates of obesity, lower rates of cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Some people have reversed type 2 diabetes for switching to a vegan diet.

The production of meat and animal products is detrimental to the environment. It is one of the highest causes of gas emissions – more than transport.

Watching ‘the game changers’ really opened my eyes to benefits of a plant-based diet. I thoroughly recommend giving it a look.
